“Clunk, clunk, clunk…” After the young man went upstairs, he walked towards where we were sitting and handed over the sword on his shoulder. I didn’t look at it and gave the sword back to Yuriko, indicating for Yuriko to take a look. I just stared at the young man, obviously the young man didn’t expect to buy a sword from a child, his eyes were full of surprise.

Yuriko drew the sword and examined it closely. He saw that the sword was half black and half white, and it felt quite heavy in his hand. The sword was made of some kind of unknown fine iron, which was extremely tough and hard. The blade was sharp enough to cut hair, but there seemed to be something wrong with it. Yuri’s eyes revealed a look of confusion. Soon he closed his eyes and gently stroked the sword with his right hand, as if he was feeling something. Yuri felt strange. Her brother only had this expression and movement when he encountered a good weapon. Could it be that this sword was some kind of artifact? The young man was also attracted by Yuri’s movements. His expression kept changing. First, he pretended to be calm, then he was surprised, then he was slightly excited, and finally, when he saw Yuri open his eyes and shake his head, he couldn’t help but reveal a disappointed look.

“I don’t understand this sword,” said Yuriko, and then he handed the sword back to me.

I knew what Yuriko meant by this, that there was something strange about the sword, but he didn’t know what it was. In fact, as soon as I touched the sword, I knew that it had first been sealed by someone, and then cursed by someone else. Since the seal was white and the curse was black, the two forces interacted with each other, and even Yuriko didn’t see the mystery.

“How much is the sword?“ I asked bluntly.

”Twenty gold coins,“ the boy replied without hesitation.

”You’re ripping me off,“ I exclaimed in alarm. ‘For twenty gold coins, I can buy ten, no, twenty weapons as good as yours anywhere.’

”That’s because you don’t know what you’re looking at,” the boy said with some disdain. ”This is the family treasure of my Lu family. If it weren’t for the fact that I’m in urgent need of money, I wouldn’t sell this sword.”

“What do you need money for?“ I asked curiously.
